Got the 14.7 inch light strip from them Friday and installed Saturday...I opted for the red, and made mine both running and brake. The 14.7 fits perfectly...the ends of the array sit exactly halfway across each of the brackets for the two antenae. The way I ordered it, mine was already sealed on the ends...the wires are very small...it also has a shrink wrapped resistor (or is it a diode....whatever) to make it dual action. I took grc's advice and figured out a way to run it through the AM/FM antena base...there is a rubber gasket about 1/8 inch thick between the metal bracket and the leather tourpack for weatherproofing. I removed the bracket, took a small rattail file, and cut a shallow grove in the rubber (it's a hard rubber) from the top of the gasket, down to the hole for the antenae. I then shrink wrapped the two wires coming out of the LED strip and ran them through the groove, into the tourpack through the large antena hole (there's another screw that holds the bracket on as well), bolted it all up. No need for silicone, as the rubber gasket seals it well, if you don't cut the groove too wide/deep. The shrink wrap protects the two little wires nicely, even though the washer and ground wire for the antena sort of pinch them against the inside of the leather, but there's enough "give" for it not to be a problem. Then used the terminal pins from HD (three mentioned above), and the tab housing also mentioned in the thread here, soldered one wire together (to get the dual action thing wired into the whole thing). Basically, the light strip has a red and black...the dual action thing has a red wire coming out one end,and a red and I think orange coming out the other end. Soldered the single red to the red from the strip, crimped the pins on the other wires...easy as pie. A couple of adult beverages, and about an hour or so. (Of course, I did a temp wiring job before starting any of this to be sure it all worked properly and to figure out which wires needed to go where) Used black electrical tape to tidy things up a bit. The strip sticks on (after cleaning well with alcohol), with the ends laying on top of the brackets. About 1/2 inch of either end of the led strip is not lit, so all the lights are between the brackets. It puts out a LOT of extra light, and it looks damn good too...makes the back of the bike a LOT more visible, so I feel a lot safer when cages are running behind me...it's up high enough for them to see it well. Oh yea....while I was at it, I replaced the two antenae with the Freedoms...got sick of the whippy things hitting my garage door on the way in and out, plus it makes the backend look a lot cleaner. Cost for the lights...$140, including shipping...tab housing and terminal pins are negligible cost factors (in other words, I can't remember how much they were).
