One even said that he could guarantee me that in a court of law in front of 100 people NO ONE could say, "Your honor I did not see him coming". That was the best line ever.... Priceless comment!!!

Thanks Harleyrider_49. I was jonesin for a while. I like her. More my style than the "flashier" colors.
JW
Yer welcome......it is a thing o' beauty, 'specially w/all the additions to this model......theres some graphics go'n on deep down in the paint between the striping(tank, fairing, etc.) that really pop depend'n on how the sun hits it( might see a little in the pics).....good color combo for sure.....would like to see the "Kryptonite" bike out in the sun.....got a feel'n this bike is gonna really stand out in the sun.....I think the MoCo really hit a homer w/this model, for this year!

Going to look at one at a near local dealer today. RG Charcoal Slate/Black. I'll take some pics if it's out of the box. Wasn't out yet yesterday.

Sure wish I could find a Silver 09 New for $28,000. Tried to buy one a few months ago from a dealer in NY that was used (but less than 2000 miles) and they wanted almost MSRP for it.
I'll have to admit I got lucky and I have a good friend who's been sourcing bikes and working deals for years who helped me. The idea is you source the bike within a distance you're willing to travel and ride home from. The longer that distance the better your chances. Then you negotiate over the phone like it's a used car. Make sure they know you can make the deal with no money issues. I offered to walk in with a cashier's check in hand. Soon a seller will break down and take your low offer. In many southern states the dealers have trouble selling these bikes. Often they'll dump them to dealers elsewhere. I think the bikes are a good value compared to the stock bikes and I don't know that I'll ever buy a new stock bike again. But, Harley is a shrinking company so it just doesn't set right with me to pay at or above MSRP. They aren't really limited editions you know. They watch sales and make as many as they think they can sell without making it seem like they're easy to get.

I believe this 1000%. If they could sell 5000 of each bike at MSRP then they would produce them.

interesting to know how much of these bikes (how many parts) are actually mfg in the US -- I own a business, so I'm willing to pay MSRP and allow the MoCo to make their profit, but not a cent more! If we (the buying public in the US) knew these bikes were actually made here (not just assembled), thus keeping Americans at work and contributing to the US economy, I like to think we would be less critical.

True, but too many of us have a "me-first" mindset. They don't give a damn about anyone but themselves let alone care about whether or not something is made here...

I got a few......Demo rides in my area this wk/end.....Behold.....the "BlackDiamond"........
Thanks for posting this pic Harleyrider... On the way back from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame today, my wife and I stopped in at Biker Bob's H-D in Taylor, MI (although I thought I was going to Motown H-D) and they had the same black SESG on the floor. The bike looks much better in the sunlight as shown in your photo. Nice bike, but I have always felt that the CVO line up was (and should) always be a little flashier with fancy paint jobs, making them stand out in a crowd... Although this bike is nice, it just doesn't jump out at me like the other colours. Same can be said for last year's black 10-1/2 Ultra model released in January 2010. With all due respect to all who have already purchased one of those, please let's not get all excited with that comment... It's only my humble opinion. I just think the CVO's should make a definite statement and those two bikes being so dark just don't speak loud enough for my taste. On the new lower fairing speakers and tweeters in the fairing dash on the 2011 SESG... Nice idea to make better use of the space, (after all, what good was the ambient air temp or gas gauge or glove boxes anyway), sounds great, but certainly no better (if as good) as my HOGTUNES 8 speaker setup, and I personally like the look of the HOGTUNES Tweeter Bar much better, especially when it's colour matched! Just sayin.

While someone is mentioning flashier paint jobs, have you folks taken a look at the new paint sets Harley offers? That "Frenzy" paint set is more like what we should be seeing on these bikes.

now Black Diamond, you know these scooters look much better in person than in pics......you just gotta wait my man. har. spyder Spyder, Your wiser than your years my man. While on the job today, I found one. Damn! That is one very nice scooter. Not too loud and flash, subdued and sweet. I took a bunch of pics with my just issued to me BlackBerry. Now I can get them to download as it a company phone and not completely set up, I guess. Giving me a BlackBeery is like watch a monkey make love (can use that other word) to a football. Now the real dilemma: 1. buy her and sell Lexi 2. buy her and keep my SERKS 3. buy an 04 B/B and keep my SERKs 4. keep my money and be satisfied with what I got I believe I mentioned before, you have a lot of hate in ya and need professional help. Gary, Thanks for the kick you know where delivered as only you can deliver it!! JW
