I received my new cradle today from Garmin. Everything worked out well with the installation. In order to use the Zumo 665 and receive XM radio and NavWeather, you need to move the Zumo 665 and the GXM 40 antenna from one motorcycle to the other. Here are some pictures to show you how my bikes are set up and how it could work for you. I use Techmount quick disconnects for my zumo 665, my radar detector, and the GXM 40 antenna.
Here’s the new cradle held up to the existing 660 OEM cradle that I’m removing from my ’09 CVO and replacing with the new cradle. You can see the part number is different:

Here’s how it all looks on my ’10 CVO, using Techmounts and Techmount accessory hardware:

Here’s where I connect the GXM 40 to the wiring harness, right under the handlebar, then I push it further in so the connection cannot be seen:

This is what it looks like when I quick disconnect the GXM 40 antenna using the Techmount:

I’m holding the GXM 40 in my hand. You can see how it fits secure in the Techmount accessory:

Now I’ve taken the outer fairing off my ’09 CVO to replace the 660 cradle and install the new cradle:

Before I proceed, I want to test the new cradle and see if it really works. It does. I have 3 XM radio bars:

Another picture of the fairing off. I’ve got lots going on, including 4 HID ballasts in here:

I’m finishing the installation in the garage, with 3 XM bars. Not too bad, huh:

The install is complete on the Ruby Red ’09 with new cradle and Techmounts:

Now I just need to decide which bike I want to ride with the zumo 665. It only takes a minute to switch over from one bike to another, and I have XM radio and NavWeather:

Here’s a front view of both motorcycles. You can probably assume I ride a lot at night:
