KIT TO RELOCATE TOUR PAK 09SEUC ***CONTACT INFO UPDATE***
« on: July 24, 2010, 06:24:30 PM »

HELP! Just searched the post from June 2007 about the "KIT" made by George Anderson to relocate tour pack on my 09SEUC. The recording on the phone said his number was no longer in service or has been disconnected! My wife and I need more room bad. Are there other "Kits" that are as good as Mr. Anderson's? Does anyone have a new phone number for him? Old one on thread i saw was 309-762-6291 Moline,IL. Thanks All!   :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:
***GOOD NEWS*** George Anderson is alive and well and as nice as ever! Just ordered one of his relocate brackets about 20 min. ago. Due to poor land line phone service he no longer has a home phone number. You will need to call his cell number. He thought both his numbers were listed.

7/31/10 Update had Indy buddy install Mr.Anderson's bracket today. Top notch product!! 2 1/2 extra inches, gave us much needed room. Strong mount! Only short ride home today trying to beat thunder storm.

:2vrolijk_21:Hogasm the info from Fired00d post is correct except George no longer has a home phone due to poor service from his provider. I ordered a relo kit from George today.

You won't be disappointed with Mr. Anderson's kit.  His workmanship is excellent and he's a helluva nice guy.

You are correct!! It was in my mail box this afternoon (Wed). He sent it priorty mail Monday, the same day I mailed him the money. The bracket is first rate and he is one helluva a nice guy. Just had one question. The new bracket goes between the tour pack and the factory mounting bracket? I guess it will be more clear when I actually look into my tour pack under the liner.

It is a very easy install, but easier with one other person to hold the tour pak. You will want to pull the wires coming through both of the holes on the passenger side of the tour pak, just enough to give you some play when lifting the tour pak off. Pull the liner out, unbolt the tour pak and then mount the relocatiomn bracket directly onto the bike's side mounting holes with the new bolts supplied ( I used loctite). You then mount the tour pak back onto the new bracket in one of three hole locations, which I beleive was 1". 1.5" and 2". I saw where someone had mentioned that you can see the fender at the back of the seat when you move it, but I honestly don't even notice it since the install. Hope this helps. It will take maybe 15 minutes.

I parked my bike under my garage door opener unit and put it on the lift.  Then I attached a ratchet tie down strap to the bracket the door opener is mounted to and other end to the tour pak rack.  After loosening the tour pak mounting bolts I closed the lid and just raised the tour pak a little bit using the ratchet tie down strap so I could put the relo rack in place.  Then lowered the tour pak back into place.  Easy as could be.
