When engines are mapped they go through RPM, intake pressure and throttle position steps, the engine computer looks at these inputs and applies the appropriate fuels and spark setting. Emissions/noise legislation normally means that factory settings are not optimal for performance, however a good dyno mapping should put all to right.

The "normal" factory throttle lag is taken out with a good tuner.

The TTS tunes make your throttle 1 to 1.  In other words from the factory you are liable to get something like this:
You ask your throttle for 1/4 and it delivers less or more. Same in all throttle positions. Some will be draggy and some will be overly sensitive.
I talked with Steve at Fullsac about this very problem when I bought my pipe/baffles/ and tuner from him. The FLHXSE2 I rode at the demo rides before I bought my bike had a horrible throttle response as well as did a 2009 SE road Glide I tried a few years ago. After talking to him I quit worrying about it and with the TTS installed mine works perfectly.

Not that I think this is a must have or even desirable sort of product, but I believe what they are trying to claim is not that they return the throttle operation to a 1:1 similar to a cable, but that they have a variable operation based on how rapidly you open the throttle.  Open it quickly, you get quicker reaction.  Open it gradually, and you get smoother and more controllable reaction.  Think of it like the acceleration setting on your computer mouse.

You can take it out with a tuner.
I set it at 1to1 when i did my first tune. (I use race tuner on my bikes)
Pretty sure other tuners will do the same.
Actually could not believe how much lag was factory programed in.
Up to 2500 rpm you could not go WOT for any reason, wow.
Just my 2 cents.

I had pretty bad throttle lag until PCV was installed.
