Corbin Customer Appreciation Day July 2, 2011

The city council of Hollister has decided that officially, the city will no longer give a permit for the Freedom Rally.  Corbin, Johnnys Bar & Grill (birthplace of the American Biker) and a few other business decided to have a customer appreciation day without the city's support.

Terrie and I were headed over to Monterey and had to pass through Hollister anyway, so we decided to swing by and see what was going.  Vendors set up all the way around the building, bike show, Sonny Barger doing a book signing, etc. etc. the usual trappings.














Red and White from several states were in attendance


Sonny Barger

and the gentleman on the left is Fritz Clapp.  Now retired but he was the copyright attorney for the Hells Angles for years.

The breakfast in the Wizard Cafe coupled with the festivities here and at Johnnys (birthplace of the American Biker)   http://www.johnnysbarandgrill.com/ was the start of a nice day and a great weekend holiday.

For those who've never been, we're going to bring you along on a tour of Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and Hwy. 1 along the cental coast of Calif. on what was probably the best summer weekend I've ever spent in the area.  There was very minimal fog and rode in t-shirts all weekend....where it's usually fogged in, cold and wet for the better part of the day during the summer months.
