People have made color comments on the 05's already to the tune of Yuk! I wold not be too critical yet. Pictures do not do them justice. I know that I did not care for the yellow 04' Deuce but when I saw one inthe dealership, I was very impressed. It looked totally different. It was silver and not white which the picture led you to believe.
Aside from the CVO's the new colors offered on the Softail line look great They have a Candy apple red and black; black pearl, and some other nice new schems.
I guess I am just really surprised that they did not introduce a chopper in 05'. They are missing a big portion of the high dollar spenders by not doing this. I had received a questionaire from HD back in December that had questions about choppers, would you consider a chopper from HD, etc.
Well, I look forward to seeing some new members on the site soon as these machines begin to get purchased.

Skull, I'd have to agree with you on the yellow deuce. I look for the chopper in 2006 if you look a some of the paint, they have "chopper blue"

I tend to agree on the colors issue. I was checking out the CVO's during 03, didn't like the aniversary paint, so put it off. However, when I saw the 100th paint in the showroom--liked it much better. However, I wanted a new one so I waited for the 04's, remembered to check out the CVO's, and again, didn't like the paint from the pics. However, when in the showroom, I really liked the blue/black or whatever it is. Saw a yellow cvo deuce this weekend-looked ok. As far as the 05's are concerned, I think you need to be in the showroom. In my case, however, I tend to get bored with what I have. So as soon as I see another color on the road, it tends to look pretty good.

I ordered my 05 SE Fatboy in the silver color. I think it reminds me of the very first fatboy with the yellow stripe around the top of the engine.

i,m thinking of getting 05 fat boy, would like to see in person. looks like your locked into stock seat don,t know if a small back rest can be added, custom wheels would have been a big plus. stock stage 1 air filter and tuned is great for those who want not to do engine mods. torn between cherry and silver wifes going to mumble for a week if i bring one home to add to the fleet , o-well . any fatboy cvo buyers out there want to add topics regards AK

I like the yellow 04 Deuce in a pic but once I saw it in person I didnt at all care for the color combo at all. The cobalt 04 Deuce looks better in person than the pics. Still though not a big fan of either. Im glad I bought the 03 Deuce. The platinum fatboy looks good but I think they could have came up with a better graphic design. That is what is turning me off on the looks. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Well after two weeks of owning the Fatboy heres my thoughts and observations:
1) can't park it with out drawing attention 2) had a women yesterday ask me if she could pet it. I think she meant the bike! 3) I have notorious buyers remorse, it went a way pretty fast with this purchase 4) reminds me a little of one of my rifles, I have 13. The one I like the best is not the most expensive but when I raise it to my shoulder it just feels like I can hit anything. 5) Not a comfortable cruiser like the SEEG, but all motorcycle. Feels awesome with that hard bolted counter balanced motor. 6) I think that metal grind would of been a great addition to either Blue/Black or Orange black 04 SEEG's. 7) guy in his 70's gave me a thumbs up on the hwy home tonight
If you decieded to take the jump and purchase one or put a deposit on a FLSTFSE I'd be surprised if you where disappointed. This is all motorcycle, a Harley porsche if they made one. [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
