I was at my dealership this past weekend still considering the H-D L.E.D.'s and she told me that Kuryakyn came out with a new L.E.D. set up (phase 7) different from the Truck Light (Phase 6) ones.

Here is the link:

Let me know what you guys think,

Topper

Topper,

 :xyxthumbs: :2vrolijk_21:

One of my buds just got back from Daytona Beach Bike Week and had them
installed while he was down there.
They looked really good and really, really bright. You can truly see the LED lights that
wrap around the head light and spot lights.
When you have the low beams on with the spot lights, the top half of the head light, lights up. When
you turn on the High beams, both top and bottom of the head lights lights up and the spots turn off.

If I had a batwing, I would really look into this upgrade for sure!

Good Luck and Ride Safe,

Yeah for around $550.00 you can get both passing lamps and Head light while H-D is $525.00 for the head light.  I know we can get 20% off but still it is much less any way we look at it.

Those look much better than the previous version. I sprung for the H-D LED's a few months ago, kinda wish I had waited now and saved some green. I am pleased with the light output of my LED's but they were expensive!

Sure would be nice to see a comparison between the Version 6 and the Version 7.  The new ones seems to be totally different.

I have the older version and love them, bought headlight and running lights for $290.00 delivered.  For the price I paid I will live with the strange look.  Love the brightness of the lights, day and night.

Thanks for the info.  I remember reading this article when they were testing the H-D and TL 6.  They were less than impressed with the TL 6 but now there is the TL 7, they seem to rave about the TL 7.  I actually think I like the warranty as well as the price of the TL 7 compaired to the H-D.  I just wonder what the TL 8 will have in store.

It seems the P7's do work better than the P6's, at least more focused, with sharper cutoff, and perhaps as a result a little brighter. However, I take particular interest in the P6's being more visible to other drivers (Read Cagers). I think that is part of the P6's focus being more disbursed.

While this is good to see a performance improvement, I'm not sure it's a big enough improvement to justify ditching the P6's and buying a new set of P7's after one year.  I think if you don't have either, and still running the stock halogens, going with the TL's is a no brainer. For the same price, certainly opt for the P7's, but if they drop the price on the P6's to say $100 less, that would be a compelling arguement to go that route.  I will say, I went from the Harley HID, and the P6 version provides every bit of light I could ever need - Again, could be better focused, but the trade off is, you are much more visible to others during the day.

My .02 fwiw.

I went with the P6 several months ago and am very pleased with it.  As noted, it is a vast improvement over the stock halogen lights.  I also added Motolight LED's on the calipers and Kuryakyn with identical LED bulbs to the Motolights on the engine guard.  So, if a triangle of light is very good, I now have a pentagon of light with all of them LED's.  A texting teenager that can't see me know would have to be blind.  Along with the better daylight visibility is super vision at night.

EagleEye just installed his Phase 7 as well. The ebay link changed a little bit but you can find it with a search. Saves a good bit of change plus the added warranty. Of course if a person knew about the H-D/JWSpeaker LED at the time of purchase then everything would be covered under one roof.

If you can tell me what the search used was it would be great help.  I checked under Truck Light 7 and well thousands of items showed up with little relevance.

Sorry about the delay. Been a rather hectic couple of days.

I plugged this into google. truck lite phase 7 ebay

It brought up a bunch of stuff as you mention but I recognised the light and went here.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TRUCK-LITE-7-ROUND-LED-HEADLAMP-DROP-IN-REPL-FOR-6014-6015-6016-H6054-PAR-56-/160778084555?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256f1ee0cb&vxp=mtr

The guy that Ken and I bought our lights from is found in this search for the spots but it also came up on the main search results. Checking his store shows me the headlight but he's come up in price a little since I bought mine. I paid $242 with shipping and then $225 for the spots also including shipping.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-of-LED-4-1-2-passing-lamps-for-Harley-Phase-7-Truck-Lite-80275-/190653088216?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c63cf41d8&vxp=mtr

But you might want to look at Phat Performance or others. The complete front set is like $470 and shipping is free. Hard deal to beat. Hope that helps.

http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/Kuryakyn_Truck_Lite_High_Intensity_L_E_D_Headlamp_p/kury-phase7.htm

You could save $15 if you ordered the headlight off of ebay and then the spots through Phat. Wonder if a vender would offer a forum group buy? If we approached them with at least 10 sets of lights, you might be able to get a better deal.

Ok, so from all that I have read the Kuryakyn/Truck Lite Phase 7's are latest and greatest. Did not like the way they stick out. My question is will they work with the H-D Visor Style trim rings? I like the looks of those trim rings and was going to get them but not if they won't fit with the Phase 7 lights. I know several are running the Phase 6 lights and it looks like they don't stick out as far as the 7's. I had intended to buy new LED lights during the winter but now am kinda glad I waited. Not really riding much after dark these days except local around town, of course part of that may be because I know my stock lights suck.  :nixweiss:
