The year doesn't matter......the same from 2010 SESG up to current.  The height depends on the brand of shield you have.  Some measure the entire windshield while others measure from the top of the fairing.

The stock shield on the '10 was 4"

On the 2012 they call it a 7" but I have never measured it.

You measure from the top of the fairing to the top of the windshield.

I believe its a 4", i just ordered an eight inch from freedom shields. I think freedom has one of the best shiels going, just my opinion though.

Go with the Klockwerks, that is what I ran on my 04 SE. Traded the bike kept the Klockwerks windshield put it on 2012 SESG works great. I am 6' 1 1/2" tall the 2012 SESG I sit a little bit higher might try the 8.5".
