After our trip to Colorado, we took the bikes to Jim’s for their 50k mile service.  We went over last Sat. to pick them up.  Terrie came up with the idea instead of taking the trailer why not just take the train (Am Trak stops a block from Jim’s shop) and ride them back.  Great idea!

Then we learned that Marty (110 mofo) was coming up to Jim’s to drop some parts off.  Andy called and said he was going to loan Marty one of his bikes for a little day ride and invited Terrie and I to join them.  Sounded like a great idea.

Terrie and I got up about 6 a.m. last Sat. and her co-worker drove us to the Sacramento AmTrak  station.

If you’ve never rode the train, I have to say it’s very comfortable and relaxing.   And if you get up and get on the train early…….plenty of room!



And the views from the train are sometimes pretty awesome….sometimes not when you’re passing through the inner cities….

Terrie and I hadn’t been on our bikes for the past two weeks…….since we returned from California.  So we were eager to get rollin…..
