What is a "good" price for a tangerine with 1600 miles?

I know of a 1999 FXR2 cold stone blue that sold for $8,500.00 with 2 miles on it 5 weeks ago.
Probably worth $8,500.00 to $9,000.00.
Regards,
Tim

The guy is stuck on 10,000. I thought that was a little high, but he didn't even want to talk about negotiating.

Here's a yellow one with 53 miles for $10K (stored in a bubble) http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/3046605166.htmlAnd a more reasonably priced yellow one with 2K miles for $8,300. http://orlando.craigslist.org/mcy/3018080650.htmlSaw a few tangerine ones as well but most folks are asking over $10K. They won't get that from a smart buyer because the value is more in the $7,800-$9,500 range.

Prices are not what they used to be. But I would not take less than 9K for any of mine and I have them all for sell. Just need to find someone that wants them more than I do. I think thats the way most collectors are. But I also know that you can find some really good buys if you look. And I can't think of a finer bike than the FXR's.

Thanks, I was thinking around 9000 considering the mileage, maybe even 9500, but just can't bring myself to pay 10000.There are several yellow ones for sale, figures I would like the least produced color. If anyone runs across a deal on a tangerine please let me know.

I just paid $9000 for a tangerine one with 9000 miles a month ago and I'm more than happy. Something is worth what you are willing to pay for it.

I agree with the $8,500 - $9,500 range. Don't give in to $10K. Others will pop up on ebay or CraigsList soon and cheaper. Save that extra $1K for help in setting it up the way you want it.

All the fxr's CVo's seem to be suffering in value at present. I've had fxr3 green for sale for 7500.00 for one month, got blue flame fxr3 for 9500.00 w/ 17k miles..real beauty. i have fxr2 red that i have about 9500.00 in her and my blue 3 i have 11.5 in her. I love these fxr's, in fact thats all i ride anymore. If you can get any of these for less than 10k in great shape, as in like new, no paint damage, condition and location is the main concern. All of mine for sale have new rubber, no leaks, ready to ride. Almost everyone you find with original tires, you will need to replace, because of age, if have set for long period of time...carb work may need to be done and possibly rocker box gaskets too...and maybe base gaskets...if you find one real cheap..beware you will spend some money on it! Been there done that. Dave call if interested in couple of nice bikes. They are not 4's, but really 3 is my favorite of the series, and i've owned all of them! dave

So, I was wondering on cost also. That FXR4 in the Cincinnati craigslist is still for sale at 10K. Looks good, but I thought its a bit high also. Being its been around a while I thought the owner might bargin. Nope. He has had it since new and isn't in any rush... My worry is the worst thing is sitting around. Sure the tires are gone...
I would pay the 10K if it was a good price, but everything I seen is $9000 is more in line.

A Tangerine that's a bit on the high mileage side but priced accordingly: http://grandforks.craigslist.org/mcy/3141362149.html

Yet another Tangerine. If you could get him to separate The bike from the trailer, you might be in the ballpark: http://knoxville.craigslist.org/mcy/3094085741.html
