Cee Bailey's 12" Cee Glide Windshield Review
« on: August 24, 2012, 09:10:10 PM »

After doing some research I elected to purchase a Cee Bailey's 12" Cee Glide Windshield to replace the stock windscreen. Since installing the Cee Baily windshield I have experienced a significant reduction in turbulent airflow in the cockpit area.

On a recent ride I was surprised to look down and see I was pushing 80 MPH...not possible with the stock windshield.

Attached photo shows the difference between the two shields...The Cee Baily Windshield is more erect and also "fills-in" the left/right cut-outs of the original.

In my humble opinion there is no windshield that will completely cure the front end/fairing aerodynamic flow...but if you are a realist and are looking for readily apparent reductions in turbulent airflow check out one out.

I took Joe's advice and went without the gasket/seal...much cleaner install!

Cheers

Shaggy

ok, dumb question. The pix with them sitting together. Which one is the new one? Also, did the holes in the shield line up exact or did you have to fight the shield at all?

Cee Baily shield is the one to the left as you look at the picture...holes lined up perfectly.

I just received my 16in today (same shield). the 15in was just a little to short for me. I am 6.2 but only a 32 inseam and I put the Ohlin 6's on which put me up an inch in the back.

How tall are you?

I'm 5'10" with a 30 inch pant inseam...I wanted to preserve as much clear vision as possible so I went with the 12", I could have gone with a larger shield and still seen over.
