Space shuttle Endeavour takes to California skies and I was lucky enough to take a few pictures of it as it flew by my house, located on SF Bay.

Here is one of the pictures I took as the Space Shuttle "Endeavour" sat piggy back on top of a 747 escorted by a fighter jet.

Yesterday morning around 9:45 I was driving east on I-80 over the Yolo Causeway and caught a quick glimpse of the Endeavour piggy backed on the 747 on it's approach over the Capitol.  The flyover caused a short traffic halt as the 747 was flying real low. It was pretty awesome, the 747 was flying very low and very loud..  The best thrill of the month

in the early 80s I was lucky enough to be working at edwards air base in so cal I was there taking out a ww2 era bomb pruff [sp] runway, the job took about a year and  we were parallel to the runway the 1st and most early landings took place on I got to see a few landings and movements of the shuttles was cool.
