Progressive 422 Series Shocks
« on: April 27, 2013, 09:39:17 PM »

Harley tends to short change certain things on various models.....  & the rear fender on the Breakout sat a little too high above the tire for my liking.... so I installed Progressive 422 Series rear shocks, & lowered the bike approx. 1"  .....   bike rides nicer with the shocks & looks a lot nicer.... check it out

Looks good mate.  Do you scrape the pegs more often?  I'm always scraping so a little hesitant to lower mine.

.... seems to be the same.... I only lowered the back 1" so it really did not have any affect on the front end or peg height

I agree it does look much better than stock, but dude, the job is not complete until you get rid of that dopey reflector   :2vrolijk_21:

Progressive makes awesome shocks...

I am about to purchase this mod, one question I have is can you still have a passenger on the back? I mean, doesn't it touch the fender while riding/going over bumps?

passenger will be fine.... despite the 1" height reduction, there is still plenty of room between the tire & fender.... approx. 4"
