It doesnt list the FXSBSE as fitment for some reason. I think we just need the bars and not the speedo mount.

I don't own a CVO, but the basic model, hopefully I am welcome here.  And I'm not sure if the two models are the same as related to the riser/bar setup.  I think just the bars are different.  So this post is for the FXSB only, and not the CVO but hopefully it helps somewhat.
I will be looking into 55800252.  I am interested to see if the the riser and clamp setup are the same as stock.  The picture on their website shows the clamp picture looks the same, but they don't have a picture of the risers.  I'm going to ask the fitment specialist to see if they have schematics of this kit to try to get an idea of the riser.
With apes I prefer a straight riser as opposed to offset so I bought and am in the process of installing Harley's 12 in. Fat Mini-Ape Handlebar Kit with Riser-56832-04B.  The riser height of this kit is the same height as stock, only it is straight and not offset like stock.  I didn't want to spend the $400+ for 55800252 only to find out its riser and clamp are exactly the same as stock.
A few notes about 12 in. Fat Mini-Ape Handlebar Kit with Riser-56832-04B in black (I know most CVO owner's will probably choose chrome)...the bars are satin black, and the riser/clamp is gloss black.  Makes no sense to me why the finish is different.  Also, the riser will not work with the FXSB stock top clamp.  The stock clamp has a skirt on it in the front that interferes with the kit's riser because the riser also has a skirt.  This would be true for the chrome parts, too.

I also wanted to say that the riser that comes with the kit I purchased is exactly the same as Chrome Fat Riser Kit-56929-10.
And to post another pic for reference.

I'm a big fan of apes, but I am not into the really tall look.  I ordered soem 16's from Carlini on my cvo and got shipped the wrong size and they were 18's.  Apes are cool, until they get a little too extreme.  I had to send them back and get the 14s.  I think the 12's look really great and I think 14's would look the best for the Breakout in my opinion. Anything taller, just draws too much attention to the bars and takes away from the overall look.  Anything smaller and they look cool, but just almost there.  Been seeing a few pics of apes on the breakout and most aren't tweaking them forward a bit.  Looks much better that way around the 12 oclock position like newbreaks are.   newbreak... can't wait to see those completed with tank on and all.

I'm thinking about the mini apes but, want to see them on a few Breakouts before I commit to spending the $$.  Currently, I just tilted the stock one forward a bit and that feels pretty good.

@ NewBrake,  as far as I'm concerned you're welcome here and thanks for the great photo's and info.  x2 on the fully assembled pics.

Checkout the "Alternative saddle bags" thread, just a few below this one.  There's a member named Brett that posted a photo of his CVO with  16" apes. He does not mention the brand.

Sorry for the delay in rersponding for the new pics with bars and tank installed.  The offset risers and bars are still taking their time as far as growing on me, but the setup is real comfy.  Breather, Bassani Firepower slip on's w stock heat shields and other bits

I want mini apes and heated grips, but I don't want to mess up the clean lines of the OEM setup either.  The shop guy tells me that the 12 CVO Convertible does not have the same throttle as the CVO breakout and they would have to run a line.  When I asked about the Carlini's he said the same but I know others have gotten it to work with internal wiring.  They also said they would have to run the wires outside for the heated grips outside the bars.  I think I will just do without or ask other shops here in SA.

Mate they just need to redrill the bars to suit the electronic throttle. I guess they would be able to internally wire the grips at the same time.

Many stealers put it into the too hard basket.
