I have wanted an '11 SERGU and an '09 SERG since they came out, but both times had a new bike bought just the year before. I looked for and bought my FLTRUSE in July 2013, stock except for a couple minor cosmetic items, with 9,600 miles. I could find only 6 others for sale in the U.S.; they had anywhere from 18,000 miles to 40,000, and were asking $33K to $34.9K.
Original owner lives 60 miles away, bought it at the dealer there, and traded it in at a car dealer. The car dealer was asking $30K, and tried to convince me what a great deal it was at that price by showing me the NADA sheet showing $32,500 retail value. The thing is, the NADA had a base price for the CVO model (much higher than a non-CVO, of course), and then added for "options" such as heated grips and seat, 110" engine, etc.---all of which had already been accounted for by the higher CVO price. So I destroyed their price argument, got them down to $28,500, and bought it. That was at the height of riding season, too, so the mid-winter price depression wasn't in place. I was happy then, and I am still.
Of course, I like to see them sell for a good price, and you have to decide if it works for you. This is just my perspective and experience that I hope helps with your decision.
