2" Primary Belt Drive
« on: June 19, 2018, 07:23:34 AM »

Any advice on shopping for a 2" enclosed primary belt drive for my 2008 CVO. Pros and cons?  Must be compatible with hydraulic clutch. Tired of buying compensator sprockets and really considering spending the money considering I am 78 years old and will be keeping my 2008 until I ride into the sky. Thanks for info.

Don't know about the belt, but Geez, congratulations on riding.  I hope I will be able to mount a bike at that age. Keep it up and ride a lot.

Great question! I considered it but couldn't find anything that sounded good to me. I haven't had one since I put one on a shovel head, but I did love that thing. Reducing the weight in the primary always seemed like a good idea to me. Years ago when I put that one you could tell a big difference in shifting and noise, I would suspect that would still hold true.

Good Luck!

Started riding a Whizzer at age 14 and never quit. Hondas, Triumphs, Nortons, and in 1997, Harleys.
