Title: Loss of Compression with lots of Noise
Post by: ltank on November 23, 2019, 12:57:43 AM
My S&S V124 started running on the rear cylinder.
Front cylinder has no compression and made lots of noise when Riding. Used Borescope to take pics while waiting for local shop to make room for me.
I don't know if it's from bad crankshaft or failed piston oil. Plug looked good cylinder wall looks FD up. I hope to get bike in shop bt Thanksgiving. It's gonna be expensive. No metal in oil/filter

Well, I finally got to the culprit of No Compression on the front Cylinder. Fueling Endurance Beehive Exhaust Valve  broke with just over 3k miles. Never Again will I use a Beehive Spring. Going with Kibblewhite 650 Dual Valve Springs. It bent the front Pushrod. Will replace lifter as a precautionary. Piston and Cylinder are Good.

Strictly in the FWIW department beehives have always given me the willies compared to anything that has some redundancy built in to it.
