You're an evil man you sick twisted bastard; and I say that with great affection.  I was at least half kidding until there was some reality to the opportunity.

When is Howie's caravan ride picking up stragglers and Hoosiers as he goes?  If that's early in May I could do that east, hang south at the end, and do it all in one trip.  Will check schedules and than call TraxD for the final details.

Damn damn damn damn damn.

That's supposed to happen the second or so week in May, I think.  The comparison to the Progressives would be the best test, as we all know these shocks will be better than the stock units, but knowing if they are better than what you've got would be a more valuable evaluation for everyone.  And one of yours IS leaking, after all.... :beerchug: :ons_4: :vrolijk_19:

So very slightly.  Just the slightest coating showing up after a thousand miles or so.  And it's out of warranty.  So it means eventually buying a set anyway.  Though it is such a slight issue I wasn't worrying a great deal about it until it started showing signs of "Progressing."

This gives one a mechanism to rationalize fixing it sooner rather than later though.....

Not to get in the way of progress (or you spending money ;D), but hasn't someone here sent their shocks back to Progressive w/o a receipt and had them repaired free of charge? :nixweiss:

This just sucks.  Don't really have that much time.  Might squeeze stuff out.  Shouldn't really do it.  Probably going to try it anyway.  I'm a sick bastard.

Terry, just saw this link in an email a buddy had sent whom I'd mentioned these shocks too.  What little homework I've done shows the company manufacturing three series of shocks.  Is the unit listed here as for Harley the same thing being discussed in this thread?  If so the price isn't bad at all.

Of the lenght options 330mm would be just the tiniest bit short of stock while 300mm would be just a bit shorter than the standard 12" on the SEEGs.  330mm being somewhere around 12.9" would probably be the best bet.

Don....they look like the ones pictured to fit the Triumphs....have an external machined adjustment.  The WMT model is the one Dan is getting to try out.

Gary, one of my 440's developed a leak, I sent it back to progressive w/o a receipt (spoke to them on the phone and told them where I bought them).  They gladly took them back, repaired within 24 hours as advertised and sent back to me.  All is well.

They do look like the Triumph ones, chrome springs and external reservoir with rebound and compression adjustment. I have 2 sets coming, one for the VRod and one for the EG. They are the 330mm. They are supposed to leave Italy this week.  :2vrolijk_21:

We need someone from the Atlanta area.....

Done.

I'm running 440's now, so the comparison will be good.

Good deal, Chief....I'll give Dan a call and see when he expects them to be in, then maybe I can run over on the V and get a couple of things done at the same time.  Now that I have the AK-20's on the Ultra, the V is jealous.  Maybe next Friday?
