Title: Another Oil Question

I am trying to get prepared for my new FLSTFSE and I have been going back and forth between using Red Line and AMSOIL in the engine. A concern I have is that I am not sure the 103 engine runs hot enough for the Red Line 20W50 because they state on their website that it is

Easy enough rainman.  Get yourself an oil temp guage to replace the filler tube/dipstick or another oiltemp guage with the sensor mounted and change the viscosity with the oil change depending upon the readings and the weather you are riding in.

Rainman - I dont know what type of Red Line oil you are looking at but they make a specific motor oil for V twin engines, specificlly harley's.  Your dealer should carry or be able to acquire for you.
