Went for a ride with the missus, 31st October, UK and 80 degs !!! It had to be done as probably got 5 months of cold wet weather to come.

Took an hour or so off work and had two new tires installed and purchased a new battery in preperation for the trip next week.  Not bad price wise for all three (I installed the battery).  Got a great dealer that works with me on pricing...even though I didn't buy Ginger from them.  However, I have spent my share on bikes from the Brown family over many years.  Except for one issue years ago, have always had an enjoyable experience at their shops.

Lord willing, headed to Houston Monday......

Spent the day replacing most of the bolts with stainless ones. My stainless bolts are now on their 3rd Harley. Every time I trade a bike in on a new one I take all the Stainless hardware off ready for the new one.
It made a huge difference. Been one of my gripes with the CVO that you pay so much for it and it is covered in all that good looking chrome which is in turn spoilt by the MOCO's use of Nick Cadnium Bolts and fasteners.I have always just bought the appropriate stainless bolts and polished them myself. Only takes a couple of minutes per bolt.

I plan on at least getting it started and ride a few miles. Have not ridden the HD for months.

Well do to  the heavy freeze the road people applied the liquid salt on the bridges and over pass now ...so I'm done riding till spring

Picking up oil and filter today, not sure when I will need it to put the bike to bed for the winter.

Took it for a run to Ucluelet.....it ran fantastically with the max ambient temp being 11*c.....only got 300 km to 20l....but sure had fun in the twisties! Only 3 cars 'got in my way' in each direction between Port Albernie and Ucluelet. Not a drop of rain...but had a cloud 'pouring' off the side of a mountain. Probably the last good ride of the season.

Just ordered a V&H Fuelpak 3 to hopefully clear up the small amount of popping on decel that I'm getting. It started after installing HD Street Cannons.

Added a 10" Windsplitter windshield today. Went for a good ride with the dealers demo shield and I liked it so much I bought one. I'm 6'3" tall and I it seems to be perfect for me.
