Getting Blue II ready for the ride down to Panama City Beach on Thursday morning. We'll leave around 6:00am Eastern Standard and should be at Sharky's for lunch at the Tiki bar shortly after 11:00am Central Time.

I also swapped out the 2.4 oz expanded aluminum "screen door inserts" on our lower's wind deflector doors with .4 oz aluminum mesh material.  The expanded aluminum was just too heavy and caused the doors to vibrate too much: expecting the very light mesh to be about as good as it's going to get.  Still need to put down a bead of RTV sealant or black hot melt glue around the wire mesh perimeter to bond it to the door / eliminate metal on plastic virbration.

Took another 80 mile (short by some standards) ride... weather was great (I can certainly put on more clothes than I can take off to ride... leather jacket & jeans today). Combination of two lane roads w/some interstate to stretch it out a bit.... all in all it was a good day to ride to empty the tank and get some fresh fuel in the bike. :2vrolijk_21:

Glad you got to ride some Gary, gonna be even warmer tomorrow.

I got to ride a little this afternoon too. I found that the Memphis shades fairing was not Hillbilly Rocket Rider rated. I had changed the angle of it a bit a week or so ago, to make it look more like the way the regular fairings do, because apparently when I originally mounted it I had it kind of laying back too much. Well everything went good up til 100 MPH at which point I noticed that the fairing was migrating back to its original laid back position. LOL

I guess when I tightened the bolts in the adjustable bracket, I didn't get them tight enough and the force pushed it back. No harm no foul, and after a readjustment with additional tightening all seems good. I plan to try it again tomorrow.

That was the standard size RK shield that came factory on the Road Kings.  19 inch, I believe.

Rode the 17 SESG to FL Sunday and home yesterday, have just over 4100 miles on her now.  Today I will be doing the fullsac baffles for it.

I have already put 14" Yaffe monkey bars on it, CVO limited heated grips, Yaffe black plate frame, CB module and antenna, and quick detach hard ware.  Also did the rider back rest, removed the passenger pegs and using them for hwy pegs.

Did the Fullsac 2.25 baffles on my 17 SERG and took a short ride.  Sounds is a bit deeper but not much louder at all.  Tells me this cat is really holding back a lot. 

Plan to wash her this morning and ride over to Smoky Mountain HD for a bit.

Changed my oil yesterday, 1130 miles. Changed the windshield trim out today. Went from chrome to black. The chrome just looked out of place to me. Before and after pics below.
