Replaced the battery on my SEUC8 due to it becoming a bit sluggish on startup.
She turns over just fine now.

That is a beautiful looking bike, hard to beat that color scheme.

I used to live in Vancouver Canada, know Custer quite well, live in Santa Fe NM now.

Thanks for the kind words.
Big difference between living in Van and living in Santa Fe.

Cleaned the scoot today in preparation for "Scooters for Hooters" run this Saturday in support of breast cancer research.

Cleaned up bike in preparation for a Nation of Patriots fundraiser at a bike night today.  Nation of Patriots supports wounded veterans and gives 100% of the money collected directly to recovering vets in their local areas.  An all volunteer 501(C)3 charity.  Very good cause.

Replaced comp with 42k miles on it, was getting hot start kickback on occasion. Some flatspots on the spokes.
Compensator has 42k miles, a few more on the bike.  :drink:

Seems tight now  :bananarock:

Took an early morning shakedown ride to one of my spots, Broad River. Getting a bit warm down here to be out riding for long.

Just finished installing a Native Custom Baggers fat tire kit, new Legends suspension, FTD wheels, and a Yelvington reverse pulley on the Road King. The improvement in ride and handling is way better than I hoped for. I want to put up a few pictures to show you all how it came out so bare with me.

The fender was painted by CPV Paint and Graphics in Wisconsin. The color and graphics match are perfect.

Here's a better look at the FTD wheel. Check out the matching rotor.

I have to admit I was leery at first because I just found them on the internet and had no references from anyone I knew, especially when they told me they were running on a 3-4 week turn around.. The paint on the fender was sooooo important, I didn't know if they, or anyone, could do the job I wanted that quickly.  It actually took them 5 weeks to get the fender back to me and they apologized for taking so long. I dealt with two different women there during the process and they were both terrific to deal with. I will absolutely use them again!!

Nothing to it; yet.  Did go to a local powder coat shop and pick up some pieces had dropped off a couple weeks ago.  Several other small parts but these will be the jewels.  For the old Road Glide.  She's going to get a top end job after years of stellar service.

It's a color called Illusion Malbec (I don't know where the name comes from either).  It's a really good match to the Midnight Red that is the predominant color on the bike.  Did a set of calipers as a test run back in May to see if I'd like it.  Very pleased so sent several other parts to finish things out.

Wish the pics showed the flake in the color.  It shows, barely.  Looks so much better in person in the sunlight though.  Cylinders and heads will now get diamond cut as the next step in the process.  Hopefully by the new year break will have everything done and back in hand to install it all.

(gotta love having spare parts around to do this stuff with)
