LOL

Thought you might think so

The guy that owns the place, Stuart, looks like Sammy Hagar. Their motto is “Warm Beer, Cold Food and Ugly Women” and their hiring policies reflect that.

Dwayne, Pam, Steve, Francis, Susan and I rode down to Roanoke Valley HD today as I wanted to look at the new CVO Street Glide up close and personal. Even though it has the same frame I felt more cramped up sitting in it compared to my Road King. I really don’t care for the new tank or new rear lights, so I don’t see one in my future.

After the dealership we rode over to the Valley Grill for a delicious lunch. Then back home via a new route between Catawba and Blacksburg. It’s not a new road, just one I had never been on and specifically don't care to again, as it was pretty rough.

Once back to Princeton we stopped for ice cream capping off another beautiful 220 mile day.

Doubled the mileage on the FXR3 since I've owned it. 4,056 miles the first 22 years. Bought her May of 2021. Now just over 8,100 miles. New Andrews EV27 cam this spring and a joy to ride. I will die owning this bike.

I'm in much the same position.  Got my red FXR2 right at 5 years ago.  It had collected only about a 1000 miles in it's last 15 to 20 years.  Fortunately had always been garaged/stored decently well.  Came to me needing some maintenance but it wasn't too bad.

In my five years with it I've almost doubled its mileage and it's got right at 30,000 now.  It's my favorite bike to ride unless it's summer vacation road trip type riding.

Took a ride Sunday, a lil warm and humid. Looking forward to an elevation change soon.

Had some issues at several standoffs on my tour-pak rack, fix cost me $3 in parts, plus shop supplies. :drink:  I got the idea from a past member, he had silver quarters on his.

Does anyone know the member I mentioned above? (Bonus point question)

Got some new parts for my CVO. Still able to buy new parts from HD for my 15 year old bike, which is a good thing. I’m a DIY’er and just recently upgraded myself to level II parts changer. This order was mainly brake system parts. I received the order quickly using Harleys e commerce site, got a $20 gift card to use at my local dealer by the end of Sept too, my how times have changed. The order amounted to a mere $731, I got free shipping.  :apple:

I have rode my 2023 Whiskey Neat CVO road glide every day this week.  Fixing to hop on it and Ride to UT Orthopedics to have them look at MRI of my hip.  Its a 58 mile ride each way.

Thelma hit 25k miles so thought from comments at shop and forums that tappets should be replaced.  Took her over to Roger Lockwood and had him replace the tappets and pushrods. S&S tappets and Quickee pushrod kit.  Sounds good and now won't worry about a grenade between my legs for a while.

Changed the headlight on my road glide and went for a night ride. The difference is absolutely amazing! The Hogworkz headlamp illuminates the road much better than the stock light and improves the look of the bike.
