Garage Door Opener. After having one for the last 12 years, I wasn't going to go without it. 2 for 1 might sound crazy but the deal was damn near a wash. I've wasted more in a casino in one night than what it cost me out of pocket. Trade values continue to tank every time new technology hits the streets. I was shell shocked at first but got over it quickly. High interest rates aren't helping matters for people that have to do any kind of financing.

Congrats on the new bike, OBB!
Thanks Kojak. With my back issue causing other problems the RGU just wasn't getting ridden much so it was time. Made no sense to me to keep two non Ultras in the garage and the money was right. I had that 15 since new. A little over 9 years and it was the longest I ever owned any vehicle.

Traded both of them in on this. Parts are already arriving for it. Still at the dealership waiting on a GDO to get installed and programmed then they'll deliver it.

Congratulations, that color looks great.  So what all parts you getting for it?

I sure understand you on Trade in values are in the tank.  High interest rates are hurting bike sales and car sales.

Not sure I could go down to two bikes but I sure understand.  Minimal out of pocket really helps

The new style garage door opener that's Homelink compatible is the main culprit I'm waiting on as it needs programmed at the dealer. Heated grips @ $400 is steep but they only have the one set right now. 2 piece seat, saddlebag guards, tour pack spacer kit to put on my chopped pack I have now. New lock set for the TP matched to the bike. A few other things I can't think of at the moment. I've already ordered all new floor boards, highway pegs and Ciro HP mounts from ebay.

That home-link garage door opener is nice, and very easy to pair.  The spacer kit is definitely needed, I'm running mine solo, and it's way to close for my comfort in the solo position with the spacer.  Would clearly hit with out it.  Are you having them activate the Nav system?  Dealer has to do it even though it says customer can.  Joe had to have dealer do it.

I'm still not sure if I want to figure out how to make my chopped tour pack lock remotely like the bags.  Just got my bag latch inserts I need to install.

Thinking about the nav part of it. Good info on having the dealer activate it. Was under the impression I could do it and was going to wait until the end of March.

Saddlebag latch inserts. Dammit. Something else I didn't think about. Thanks for spending my money

I know I have to change out that silver shift linkage for a black one. That stock one is hideous on a black engine.

Eventually the owner will be able to, but currently the dealer has to do it, and there are two steps they have to do to activate the GPS.

I did a nice 103 mile ride around the block yesterday.  304 south to 68 west to Crossville, then 70 east to Kingson and 304 south.  Great curvy and hilly ride on a 71 degree day.

Finished up my 85k service yesterday, oil change, bug removal, etc, etc.
Made 3 trips to the hot springs last 2 months just to recharge MY batteries! LOL
60k on the 124 engine and still purring like a kitten (tiger). Amazing how nice this combo runs and the passing power when you need it. It pays to do the research when building a motor! Thanks again to all for your suggestions!

Had to replace my old worn out shocks last month and went with the H-D branded Ohlins rear setup.
Got a good deal with my discount and gift cards. Very nice ride quality.

Upcoming rally the end of the month, rooms booked, riding buddies all set, gonna be a good time!
👍👍

I’m taking my first day off work this year to go ride Orange Crush. Figure I’ll ride down to Bristolto visit my favorite fishing stor, grab a bite to eat and zigzag my way back home.Just waiting for the temperature to rise a bit as it was 37 when I went in to the office for a few minutes to fix an ailing sulfur analyzer.

Supposed to warm up to 72 today but it’s still around 50 right now.
