Will I Need Mounting Hardware? (03 SERK)

Buying a set of RK Classic leather saddlebags to put on my 03 SE Road King . . . I like the look.  I have found a set of gently used bags in the right part number . . . but there is "no mounting hardware" with the sale.

Will the existing mounting hardware that that holds the hard bags on the stock 03 SERK hard bags already on the scoot work with these RKC leather bags?

Probably not. You'll use the same Dzus pins. You WILL probably have to loosen and shift the frame mounted brackets around a bit. If your hard bags were vivid black, I'd buy em. I've been looking for a set.

I replaced the leather bags on my '07 SERK3 with '03 SERK hard bags, with NO hardware changes. Should be the same going the other way. The holes are basically in the same spots. You might have to loosen and readjust the brackets some, but that should be about it. ;)
