I am working with one of the replacement windscreen manufacturers to see if they will make a taller windscreen for the windsplitter mounting brackets. Since the stock shield is a couple inches too short for me and I really don't care for the mail slot I figure it couldn't hurt to ask. I am out of the country and they need pics of the mounting brackets....if someone could email me a couple pics it would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The standard windscreens fit the bike it is a lot cheaper.That is what I did.

On my upcoming RK, I ordered the standard OEM Road King Classic to get the height I wanted.

It would be nice if we could use the windsplitter brackets and just add a taller screen though. I bought an OEM Road King windshield and am going to see if I can get an aftermarket company to make a taller screen, without the mail slot.

I think I'm one of the minority that actually likes the CVORK Windsplitter. But then, I'm pretty short and it gives me pretty good coverage.

That being said, a similar design but maybe a few inches taller would be interesting, especially for longer hauls.

Love the looks, but at 6'1" there is no function, it just does not work.  I do think 4" taller, same design would work great.  I can duck 3 inches and have very good coverage.

Exact same for me Dave. Just got my clearview recurve for my old style OEM mount and compared the screens. Big difference. Time to see if Clearview will do a taller windsplitter so we can have the new look with a functional shield.

If I have to buy the old style mount, I will most likely get a Klockwerks.  Works great on my wifes heritage.  Looks is ok, no where near as cool as the windsplitter.

If you decide to buy the old style mount, look on Craigslist.  I found mine for $80, with a windscreen.  I missed a couple that were $60....

I just put on a used KlockWerks tall 'billboard' shield I picked up off eBay for about $100. Made a big difference on the cold-morning commute. I think it's a good compromise between the traditional RK look and the curved-new school look of the stock deflector.

Good to hear.  My wife has the Klock billboard on her heritage and it works great.

I am thinking about it in a light tint.
