King tour pack, Ultra
« on: January 25, 2004, 05:16:32 PM »

Is there anyone here who ever took a non-quick release King Tour pack off a bike? How did you do it and what about the all the wires and where did they disconect from? Where did you then hide them after? If not, anyone have a place or website where I can find this info, aside from going to my local dealer?
Thanks

i,ve had my liner out,and seat off ultra 3 times in the last 9 months .contaplateing a quick release tour pack.    it,s not a plug and play job and i won,t cut and splice. rear speckers and rear control wireing look like home run to guts of fairing.....i,d still like to do it,time and talent permitting....i,ve seen lots of ultra at street vib(reno) minus tour pack------ak

I know this a really old post, but if you're still looking for answers, find Screamin Beagle's profile and send him an off-line e-mail. He has done this on several bikes for bros who wanted to lighten their Ultras up for around town riding
