Bill,
Thanks, and back at you. I've already traveled to my destination for Turkey. Will be back home tomorrow so family can do the "Black Friday" shopping thing. I'm probably going to do my "Black Friday" shopping at the Harley Shop.  :) Have a great one.

Jock,
LOL, I'm used to that "I will TRY to pay you back...." but usually it is followed by "Honey", and it comes from the wife. But I'm sure you've gotten that line also.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
Be thankfull for :
Your loved ones
Your health
A warm home
Food on the table
And to be living in country that has provided us all here..the means to be able to afford such a non-essential means of transport, That brings us together, offers such stress relief and joy, and affords us the opportunity to make new life long friendships.
God bless everyone.

Today was a beautiful day in Memphis town and had a wonderful time with my sweet family. We all gather around and take turns expressing what we are thankful for and then lite a candle for someone who we wish could be with us today. What a sweet time. Too bad some of us only reflect on our thanksgiving only once or twice a year. It is so easy to get caught up in our fast pace and stressful world that we overlook the simple blessings God has given each and every one of us. Thank God for our Scooters! Guess that's why you don't see one at a psychologists office!

Just wanted to let you know how thankful I am for each and everyone here on this wonderful site. May Gods Blessings and protection be poured out on each of you and your families. And may he place a hedge of protection around you as you put your face in the wind on your scooters. Love Y'all, God Bless!

I'm a bit late seeing this so I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday.  Anybody take a post-feast ride yesterday?  It was absolutely beautiful here (apologies to those who live where it's cold), so I went out for a quick 50 miles culminating at sunset.  Gorgeous again today (Friday, sunny, high of 80) so while the wife's out shopping I may hit the road again.  Hope many of you are able to do the same.

WFP,
Bro, good luck with the deal on the Ultra [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] and congrats if you bring it home for the holidays!
I guess your brother should be thinking pretty hard about the seeg now, do you think he'll grab it off you, or you going to use it for the sale?
Just keep in mind that if you keep it there are a few people I know that will be very interested in buying it from you !

Yeah, 'er 'uh, WFP,
Had a Great Thanksgiving with Family and Friends!  Received a phone call from Chicago Jack last night around 7:00, to wish me a Happy Thanksgiving.  Said all was well, and he was doing fine, and he would see us all again in the Spring, at Maggie Valley.  Don't want to wait 'till Spring.  Seems too far off.  My Ol' Pappy used to say, "If you want the Winter to fly by, go to the Bank and get a 90 day note!"  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] Happy Holidays!  Later--HUBBARD

Well, I gave the deposit and the bike was rolled off the floor with my name on it and a SOLD sticker.

So now to work out the details...I hope my brother in law Steve (username=SAW) gets the SEEG so we can keep it in the family...however it will be in my sisters name so he can save the State Tax.

Congrats on the acquisition Bill.  Hope it becomes a sweet ride for you.  Next time we blast a quick 600 miles in 45 degree weather on the highway together the red bike will follow behind it's Ultra big sister.  Hope the new ride is everything you want it to be.

Thanks...just to warn you, I will be talking to you about accessorizing!  I will be going with the Garmin 2730 probably and will need to talk mounts...and then there is this amplifier that you installed...I wonder if the Amp under the Tourpak is 4x40 and can be bridged to 2x80 for the rear speakers then use the Hawg-Wired setup up front for a 310watt setup?  Then there is the installation of tassles!!! Man, I hadn't even considered the 'sand' and 'salt' on the roads up your way, Bill.  That's gotta be nasty.  Like the extreme low temps aren't bad enough, they've gotta add 'hazards' for bikes.   [smiley=shocked2.gif]  arrrrrrrgh  spyder

Our black Tahoe is white right now from the trip up to Schenectady.

After they sand and salt, I wait for at least one good raing to wash the salt away...the sand starts to build up such that by Mar/Apr when you bring the bike out you do not take turns on to side streets at speed otherwise you will be sliding in a Street Dune!

[smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Give a shout anytime.  The 2730 looks really sharp.  But with your new bike's XM built in that function of the 2730 will be mostly redundant (except the traffic thing).  Since the mapping doesn't seem to be distinctively different from its siblings that might be a place to save a few bucks  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  An easy, quick, inexpensive, effective and cheap mount is no problem though.  Will round up the part numbers for what you saw on the red bike.

Will have to look at the schematic I found for the rear mounted amp.  First thought is bridged to rear only will be a problem because of the way its design integrates it in to the entire system.  Will find the cheat sheets later though and let you know what it looks like.

Thanks!  The 2730 would be so I can move it between the Truck and Bike instead of buying the Eclipse unit for the truck as I need that money for other SEUC accessories.  So the cheap side of me (Yes, I can still be cheap!) refuses to pay XM for 3 units when I can get away with 2 (I have a Roady that is now in my wife's Tahoe)

Thanks!  Now I get to pick it up in the next couple of weeks...and watch it SIT UNUSED while there is sand and salt on the gound...but with the heated seat and grips it will have to come out and play once or twice over the winter as weather allows!

/Bill
[smiley=ROFLOL.gif] Oh Damn, I didnt think of that !! Sorry didnt mean to LOL
But indeed you got it and thats the great news bro !!
Hey with all the heated stuff it must have come with Screaming Eagle Skis??
Sunny and warm will be here before to long and you'll be loving it.
Good for you and looks like you'll be riding to Cripple Creek with all the goodies and comfort.

On the subject of Thanksgiving, anybody here have a "Turducken"? I was watching this thing on food network (before anybody wonders it was one of those times when better half got the remote before me  :-[) and they were talking about this combination of filleted Turkey, Duck, and Chicken. Now for those non-believers check this website out http://www.hebertsmeats.com/ I'm seriously considering trying one for Christmas. If anybody has had one and can give me some feedback it would be appreciated.

I believe John Madden used to have them on the Thanksgiving day Football game.  On a large turkey he added 2 duck leges and 2 chicken legs.  He used to give the legs away to the Game's MVPs, and split the Turducken with them. It was my understanding that he coined the name Turducken.  He always went on about how delicious they are.  I actually missed him and the Turdicken this year since he went to Monday Night Football.  Now they have some stupid metal running turkey trophy.

Anyway, it's supposedly quite tastey.   [smiley=chinese.gif]

I had remembered seeing the ones you speaking of on Thanksgiving that John Madden had. Silly looking bird with about a half dozen legs. However this particlar bird doesn't have the extra legs, and they made it sound really tasty. Picture below...

It just so happens that I have tried a lot of their creations and find them all very good.  I love the quail and chicken and etouffees.  I have never ordered from the site since I live approximately 4 miles from the store.  I guess if they package it correctly, it would be just as good.  Every time we go in their shopping, we come out with more than we intended.  It all looks and sounds soooo good, and is good.

Crawdaddy,
Thanks for the input. I was hoping there would be someone on here that had tried some of the products. Makes it easier to buy from them when you know someone has tried their products. Next time you in the store let them know they got a plug on http://CVOHarley.com maybe they would be interested in doing a group discount for us. ;D

Crawdaddy,
Thanks for the input. I was hoping there would be someone on here that had tried some of the products. Makes it easier to buy from them when you know someone has tried their products. Next time you in the store let them know they got a plug on http://CVOHarley.com maybe they would be interested in doing a group discount for us. ;D

:)  A little late arriving at this thanksgiving table, but we sure hope everyone had a most fabulous holiday.  We had four fabulous days.  On Thursday we put on a paltry 250 miles as we started a little later in the morning.  Let the frost thaw off the pumkins a bit before we headed out.  As we drove by many frugal homes that had ten, fifteen, twenty cars in the yard, and in the afternoon had the youngins (teens to thirties) out in the yard playing football, the American tale of everyone heading to Grandma's for Thanksgiving was displayed for us.  Under brilliant blue skies, sunshine and temps in the low 60s.  We really feel that we have an enormous amount to be thankful for.  Rode Friday after picking up some savings in the AM, skipped Saturday, but Sunday had us out again for a little 230 mile ride. Yes, so much to be thankful for.

:D  Congratulations Bill on the new ultra.   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]

Group buy for food and beer:  Phrase referring to the dinnertime actions of Twolanerider at any CVO get-together.

Now it's not only food but beer, too?  That Don, what a guy!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
