HD Service Bulletin

 Funny! Just got a service bulletin from the Mo Co on my 07 SERK. They want me to bring it in for "minor ecm adjustments" that will improve the throttle response and make the bike run smoother! I guess someone just figured out the problem with the factory ecm map. :oops:

I got my notice back in December (I think) or some time ago.  Decided to order the thundermax ECM and auto tune module, along with exhaust, and air cleaner instead of getting the re-flash.

The factory profile was worthless anyway. 14.5 /1 air fuel - - puulllleeeasssssse !

I put a SERT on LD when I did the 103 upgrade.

Tossed their dumbass " Service Advisory " in the round file.  >:(

How do you find out if your bike needs the re=tune. Would they always notify me? thanks Billy

You'll never need it if you set your motor up with exhaust system and PC/SERT/TMax ECM mods! They can't fix their issues with that stupid band-aid fix! If you properly set up your motor, you shouldn't have the issues they're trying to compensate for! ;) Hoist! 8)

I believe this pertains to pre October production bikes. But Hoist is right, a tune mod will negate the Harley MoCo re-tune. :2vrolijk_21:

Woody,
I believe you're right.  If I'm not mistaken, the letter stated that bikes produced starting in November would have the service update already flashed to the ECM.

Got mine a few months ago. My information was it just fattened up the low end. I decided to SERT the bike anyway, so I threw out the notice. All better now.

So did I which at least tells me that the whatchamacallit in my ECM did not send a report to the MoCo that LD had been SERTified and Screamin Eagled.

My bike was built on the first of November, but apparently received the flash upgrade to the ECM.  However a lot of good that did as I had it "SERTified" right out of the crate.  ;D

If your selling dealer did the SERT tuning, you're almost always good to go! They wont snitch you out, they want your business.

I got my second notice last week. They are really pushing how much it will do for your bike. And by the way my bike has already been sertified too. Mo Co has not been informed?
