Title: T Bars for SE Fatbob
Post by: 98fxstc on September 05, 2012, 06:22:33 AM
Hi All !
Has anyone fitted t bars to the FXDFSE ?
I'm trying to work out what rise and pullback to use for the existing cables .
I think the OEM set up is equivalent to about 7'' rise and 8" pullback .
Can anyone confirm this or know otherwise?
Thanls

Please let us know when you find 3rd party handle bars for the FXDFSE.  Apparently, aftermarket handle bars aren't being made that will fit the hydraulic clutch reservoir on the FXDFSE.

a member at this thread http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=52903.0 says she used 2008 Dyna Wide Glide bars but no pics. The 08 Wide Glide didn't have a hydraulic clutch so I don't know how its works. The handle bar has to have a dimple on the left side like the right side to accommodate the clutch reservoir.

I've read the same references to the hydraulic clutch and I'm not sure its a problem.
The OEM bars are 1 1/4" and reduce to 1" for the controls.
There is a whisker of clearance between the 1 1/4" bar and the resevoir without any indentation.
I think it will work on any other bar with the 1" to 1 1/4" step.
