stereo replacement
« on: June 26, 2017, 10:07:12 AM »

I have a 2006 CVO Ultra  looking to replace the stereo with a blue tooth stereo.  Looking for some suggestions on a replacement where I can still use my hand controls .  Not really interested in a refurbished Harmon Kardon  looking for a blue tooth set up without breaking the bank.  Thanks in advance.

Your post did not say whether you have a Street glide or a Road glide. I can tell you from experience the Sony MEX series radios are nice units but I went through 2 of them because with the Road glide the 1st one with the CD player was absolutely not viewable due to the sunlight and angle of the ferry on the Road glide the 2nd one I installed, the one with the iPod tray was better still, I could not see it during the daylight. Just food for thought depending on which bike you're looking to change the stereo unit in.

+1. Been using them for 3 years now both on a CVO SG and a CVO RG with zero issues.

I had one in my 12 street glide. . Worked great.  Only thing is that the display is hard to see in the daylight. . At night it's great. . Stuart

Thanks for the advice.  Do the Aquatic AV stereos plug and play with the existing wires and does the hand controls still work.  Thanks
