I had a derby cover made from my tattoo. Here is the tattoo.

Thanks! I got it done here http://www.custom-engraving-ltd.com/index.html (http://www.custom-engraving-ltd.com/index.html) I sent them the photo of the tattoo and worked with them a little on the artwork. The result is a custom one-off engraved derby cover that is colored the way I wanted it. As you can see from their website, the quality of their work is outstanding.

Thanks for the compliments all. The tat was done by the owner (name is Grady) of Advanced Body Art in my home town, Tallahassee, Fl. I've been out of town for a while, but will be back home in a week or so...I'll post a photo of the derby cover on the bike when I return. Oh, and the cost of the cover was $270.00, which included an $80.00 artwork design/setup fee. The photos don't do it justice. It is the nicest chrome piece I have had done, and I've had numerous custom engraved pieces done. The only down side is it took three months to get it...

I promised a couple of pics of the derby cover. I just got it back from the shop after a top end rebuild in an attempt to stop the oil burning ( I think we found the cause ). First, a close-up...

Thanks! I have the matching painted bags too and change them out from time to time. Usually I use the hard ones when traveling because they hold more of the wife's junk wardrobe.

Haven't pulled the trigger on this yet... was about to and then got into a discussion about the ongoing push to separate CMSgts from the indian chief. I could go either way... I know some have taken it too far, but then it is easy to say it is no big deal from the outside.
I am going to get the new USAF logo backer for the passenger backrest... but still on the fence with the derby cover.

If you give them a drawing (or at least an idea) of what you want, they'll make it for you... I think there are 10-15 different parts they can make them on.

They do great work, they have done two derby covers for me and a timer. Price depends on what you want. Here is the timer on my 15
