Gotta open her up on a warranty issue and thought I might as well look at swapping out some internals.  What performance upgrades do you guys recommend that won't affect normal longevity of the motor?  Already got 42,000 miles on my 2013

All 110 engines in 2013 have the 255 cams. These are low-end torque monsters for our relatively light Breakouts. Check the Twin Cam Board in the Home section of this forum for more information. Lots of posts there.

As said , the "stock" CVO cams say CVO255 embossed into the side

Good torque cam and I like them. Some folks don't but that's OK

I have a 2008 CVO Springer with "stock" 255's and a 2103 CVO breakout with the stage 3 1800 Pro Upgrade kit ( which has 259e's )

In truth I prefer the Springer's power delivery although the Breakout is "faster"

My 2013 has been very reliable and I sure don't baby her.  It's been a great bike and I'm planning to hold onto this one for another 40K 😃

yep, that's a lot of riding in circles!  I oftentimes ride 60+ miles one way just for a cup of coffee.  5,000 of those miles though were from an awesome ride from San Diego to Whistler Canada and back thru the mountain and desert states.  ❤️2RIDE

I say go with the bolt on 117. I have it on my 13 Road glide and I'm loving it.

i'v been reading they say that a 255 is as good as you can get, as far as a bolt in cam

I really like the 255 cam in my Pro Street.  That low end "grunt" is awesome in the twistys here in VA, I'm sure the lower vehicle weight helps a lot when I compare to my old 2012 Street Glide.
