'15 CVO SG Rear Speakers no sound??
« on: August 27, 2016, 08:41:27 AM »

Just noticed the rear speakers are not working.  Connections in the saddlebags seem to be connected.
Is there a setting in the infotainment to adjust perhaps??

I did change the battery last night, however.  When I pulled the neg terminal off the old battery, the alarm went off.  Turned off alarm and proceeded to swap battery with no issues.  Could that have blown a fuse perhaps?  And where would that fuse be located?  In the amp area?

There is a amp fuse in the cuze box. Check there. But on my 12 SG when the rear amp was bad the speakers still made noise.

So this is the fuse panel under left side cover.  Fuse #1 said Radio Power, but I have full radio and front speakers.  Only rears are no working.

be VERY careful connecting those plugs on the bags. If it does not go in perfectly straight pins can bend in the harness. It took the dealer a while to find that was the problem with my rear amp when I got the bike. Since then he has seen a few more just like that.

What where the symptoms you had Mike? I have blown my left rear speaker 3 times now.

When the radio was booting there was a popping noise from the rear speakers and the fader control was missing from the radio. When they went to reflash the radio to add the fader back in it would not take the setting. it turns out the amp and rear speakers were working but not communicating with the radio, so the radio did not see the amp. One bent pin in the large saddlebag connector was the problem.
