Lithium Battery Tender
« on: June 21, 2020, 10:25:44 AM »

Lithium Battery Tender seems to stop working.  The Center light stays yellow and doesn't blink green when I plug the bike in anymore.
Any ideas?
Thanks

All my battery tenders have a glossary on the tenders themselves detailing what the different lights and light sequences mean.  Yours have anything like that?

You used the words "Battery Tender" so i assume it is a Deltran brand. If so give them a call, I have stopped in more than once during Bikeweek and they are great to deal with. They are located in Deland Florida.

Thank you for all of your efforts...  I watched a couple of youtube video's and found out when it was solid yellow, it was below 70% charge.  Can't understand why it was so low as I just returned from a 2,000 mile trip.  It has now fully charged and the yellow light has now changed to solid green, which means it's now 100% charged.  I have now idea why it took so long to fully charge and why it was low to begin with.  I have a feeling time will tell.
Thanks again everyone for your consideration.

Tenders are not at all quick to charge.  They maintain.  So if a battery does got really low for some reason a tender will take awhile.  Like you though I'd be worried about why the thing was so low to begin with.

Modern batteries tend to crap out all at once or almost all at once.  You don't get much if any warning before the damn thing just won't start.  So if seems to spin over slow don't chance.  As expensive as batteries are anymore they're still cheaper than all the time wasted on road service.

Just some thoughts ...

Too many stops and starts on that 2000 mile trip?

What kind of draw do you have on the electrical system?

Once fully charged, did you have the battery load tested?

Cheers,
