Any comments on Lucas Oil?
« on: April 18, 2007, 01:52:15 PM »

I'm going to change to Lucas syn. 20-50 in another 1000 miles. I got a total re-build last year (top and bottom, SE Head, EV27 cam) and i'm at 5000 miles now.

ThanX otophile; I've hit that one up already. It scored low overall, but high in the ones that counted. I hadn't been able to find any Amsoil locally without having to have it shipped until last week. At all places I found it at Atwood's! One of the big things that sold me on it was I can get it at any O'Reilly's auto parts, instead of just at Harley shops for HD oil, and Atwood's, which aren't in every town, or have it shipped. The price is pretty much the same for Lucas and Amsoil, so I'm gonna do it for a while.. See how it does...

I don't know much about the Lucas oil, but I did talk to a guy at the parts store that carries it. He said he hadn't run it yet but one of his customers riding a Goldwing said the oil  temperature was about 20 degrees cooler with the Lucas oil.
