New Tire Changer
« on: May 28, 2013, 09:02:57 PM »

Finally broke down and bought a tire changer.  I chose the No Mar Jr Pro ultimate cruiser package.  Mounted to the floor and ready to go!  Just waiting on the new Metzeler 888's to arrive to try her out.

Did the same thing a couple years ago Pete.  Keep a set of tires stored ahead and the first time you come home after a puncture or have some other unscheduled tire change you'll be patting yourself on the back for having the tool in the shop.  I didn't bolt the one here to the floor.  Instead bolted it to a half sheet of 1" plywood.  The board weighs as much or more than the tire changer and a half sheet is just large enough to stand on it while doing the work.  But can still slide the whole kit around to a far corner when not in use.  Enjoy the new toy/tool.  Nice thing to have :2vrolijk_21: .

nice, once you learn the technique of giving the tire relief using the drop center, the install will be a breeze.  :2vrolijk_21:

enjoy
