Greg is 100% Spot-on! 

That is the best way to break in any engine...load & unload & repeat!  I tend to find a little traveled road and take it to 3rd gear then full throttle to 60, then back off to 30 and full throttle to 60 again and repeat this as long as you can.  When you give it full throttle it loads the rings and heats the cylinders and backing off bathes the sleeves in oil cooling them while keeping the rings loaded as well...no better way IMHO.
