TC-
Do you use the Glare to clean and polish the chrome or just to protect it?
I just received my concourse kit today
Have not read any intstructions yet.
I'll be detailing this weekend [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
I usually use Master Formula metal polish for the chrome. It's the best stuff I've found so far....Will the Glare also be replacing this [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]
What steps on da chrome? Micro then Glare or Spider, Micro, Glare?
Any input will be greatly appreciated [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
Take care,
Grover
Grover,
I will use the Micro product only where it is needed...where there is a scratch or mark that cannot be removed with the regular Pro Polish. The Spider swirl remover is not at all abrasive...sort of acts more as a filler than anything else, so I would use that if you have those very fine spider web type places on your paint or chrome. Then follow up with just the Glare Pro. With the Pro, you use a very small amount on your pad (I use a microfiber covered sponge pad) and rub it in until it all but disappears. Do this all over the bike...all surfaces are safe that are painted, chrome, or polished plastic, like the windshield!! When that coat is applied, follow with another coat of the Pro, applied like you would any other wax/polish..enough so that when it dries, it leaves a light haze on the finish. By the time you get the whole bike done, go back to where you started and wipe it off with clean, dry Microfiber cloths. It will leave a finish that literally looks like a piece of glass. When I do touch ups, I just put it on, let it dry, and wipe it off, as the base coat is already there. If road grit and grime has made swirls anywhere, I just touch up those places with the Spider, or if really necessary, the Micro. Once you get this done one time, maintenance is easy. The stuff is really easy to put on and take off, so we're not talking about an all day thing here, just a couple of hours on the initial application.
I think you'll like it on that beautiful Pumkin you've got!! It'll make that Orange GLOW!!
It's the only thing I use on the whole bike...pipes, wheels, windshield, and paint. If you've got something that works better on the chrome, I want to know about it and start using it!
