Just a guess, but it seems like the above-MSRP dealers all seem to be in or near large population centers.  Both of my current CVOs and the one I am now considering were all available without pre-ordering at my dealer and go for MSRP, including 1000-mile service.  (In fact, all three were held on a handshake - no deposit required!)  The dealership is away from any large city, although they certainly sell a lot of bikes. I wonder if the old chestnut applies about driving a few miles to make a deal applies here......

I called in a few BIG Favors and got the following info;

They have Blue CVO Street Glides....or did recently

Some of the dealers listed may over price theirs but at least you will know they had one that wasn't sold recently...yet.

BEFORE YOU ASK, YES I FOUND MINE AT MSRP AND WILL PICK IT UP SOMETIME THIS WEEKEND. Too bad about old "Bill" the storm/hurricane because I will have to travel a little to get it and was looking forward to a nice ride home. Now I'm thinking of trailering it or shipping it.  

Good Hunting to those who are looking. I called everybody that was worth talking to in Florida and as many have already posted they either didn't have one or were really, really proud of it price wise.

The Burnt Amber Ultra Classic CVO has been far and few between in the dealerships. I had to order mine without seeing one in person. But I'm ok with that. It may be Nov or Dec before I get my new baby girl. Why did you have to bring her up, it's 11:20 pm and I never going to get to sleep now. I guess I will have to take another  so I can sleep.

I don't think you could go wrong with the Burnt Amber........it's the best looking one of the Ultra Classics!

not sure which dealer you went to,  but I ordered mine 2 days after they were unvieled in July of 06.
dealer checked with factory. 1st one comes at whatever factory decides to send them,(it was blue) 2nd and third can be whatever color they want. picked mine up at American in Tonawanda, the day after thanksgiving.

Before I bought my 2010 SEUC (msrp minus freight & handling),  I checked with most of the dealers in NJ. All were at MSRP on all of the CVOs.

Western Washington dealers playing games, $1,000 to $3000 over MSRP depending on dealership, + Set up fees etc. I went far away and paid msrp, NO set up, no games.  VERY VERY happy.

I just got back from picking up my new CVO Street Glide this evening in Georgia....at MSRP.

I will tell you though THE WORD IS NOW OUT on the CVO's. If you are going to get one work on it now because it is going to get more and more difficult to find them and of course more expensive.

Elizabeth City NC has a spice rum street glide and the scarlett and slate ultra.  Both are on the floor and ~1000 over MSRP, but they will negotiate.  Good luck!

You'd think in these current economic times, these thieves would be more empathetic to the people who support their businesses but apparently not as there will always be those who will attempt to capitalize on the weak who have no control over their emotions.  I remember a dealer trying this on me 3-yrs. ago attempting to pile on another $4-g onto the price for my '07 SERK3 & giving me the story comparing it to the Z06 Corvette.  I walked & got it for MSRP at the next dealer.  It's a big turnoff & I'll never even buy a t-shirt from this place after that move.  They do this in every type of business to get those who have to have the very latest in limited supply.
