I have had the Mustang seat for years and loved it. I would speak with them directly. Obviously, you can have someone modify the mustang seat to accept the heating elements and the switches, but are the components of the mustang made to hold up to the heating elements. Maybe not.

Didn't even give that a thought. Appreciate the insight. I will give them a call and find out. Which Mustang seat do you have, I was looking at the Plain one piece, and  the pillow top one piece.

Did you say that the heated seat was stock?  Mine didn't come with the heated seat, just the Ostrich inlaid seat.

Actually by stock I mean I had HD install the heating unit, I also added the matching King Tour pack, the stock tour pack didn't work for me.Along with more stuff than I should have, but barring any run ins, This will be the last bike I buy, this is the one toy I wanted more than any other color or model. so I put everything I want on the bike, even threw in the screaming eagle six speed.

I called Mustang last fall, and they said they send the seats to a company in Michigan.
They also said to send the new seat there yourself and save a few bucks.

The company is  http://www.motorcyclehotseat.com/

I know this response is a little late since you posted but I have a 2010 cvo ultra also and was not happy with the stock seat. Talk to Mustang they told me they would send me the seat unassembled and I can put the elements in or have a local guy do it.  What I decided to do was Buy a stock Ultra seat from a member  $100 bucks and remove everything from the CVO seat and put it in the new one.  It worked great and looks stock.  Its still not a Mustang seat but it is comfortable.   Hope this helps.
