crusher mellow with power cell pipe is very easy on the ears..

Curious about the crushers.  Met the Kuryakyn rep once in Reno, but the Crushers they demo'd were too loud for my taste.  How loud are the Crusher Mellows compared to, say, the Fullsac 2.0s?  Is there much of a power difference between the Crusher and Crusher Mellows.  TIA.

Head pipe does effect the final DB level.. What we have found is that the mellow and standard crusher both make the same power levels. However when the mellow is used on the power cell head pipe the final db is lower.  The crusher mufflers are NOT a straight through one size core.. More so a 3 stage core.. We have one here that is cut open so you can see how the core is made and that SS packing is used..  Stock to 140+ hp can be had using one muffler ... Do not have much experiance with them on other head pipes.. We have done a few and I can tell you that the power cell pipe has been the ticket to get the most out of the system.

Head pipe does effect the final DB level..

What effect do think or know that the Full Sac X Pipe would have on the final DB level? Contemplating of attaching the Crusher Mellows on the Full Sac X Pipe.

Thanks,

Have no idea.. But a cross over lets the muffler and ex system balance out.. but when you alter head pipe size volume etc.. cannot say how that will effect it.. trying ti is about the only way.. But if you post it up you are sure to get opinions, maybe some one else has done it.

Just options nothing more.. look at the curve more so than peak numbers.  Another cam that many like  and have good results with is the Wes Brown 575.. Not run one myself..

Steve...I really like all three of these cams. I have a 2010 96" that I want to do ported heads and cams on (and the usual Stage 1 stuff). Have any idea which of these cams will pull the best down low?

Thanks

On a 96 inch  I would not bother going into the heads really , go to a BB kit and leave the heads stock if you want..  As for that set up the andrews 48 tends to make very good power for a stock set up.  Again several have run the wes Brown 575 in those with good luck.

I see the Kury 24 was a test cam, did it become a production cam?  :nixweiss:

Would this cam or one with similar specs benefit from the .030 head gasket change?
