Our group of 7 riders had just gotten parked at one of the pullouts on Iron Mountain Road in the Black Hills when this large group from Iowa pulled in. Riding number two was this lady on a bike I had only imagined, an incredible SE VROD with an RG fairing, hard bags and an incredible rear fender job. Three of us guys rushed her as she parked and began to drool all over this bike for about 30 minutes. The owner's husband had done much of the work and we came to understand that they make a kit for this conversion but it had been taken to a whole new level with some additional customization. The rear fender extension is fiberglass and butts up against the stock fender leaving a crease that the owner did not like so they fiberglassed the joint, frenched in the brake light, added fillers between the bags and the fender and put LED turn signals in the fillers. The result was just stunning! I saw one of the fender kits later in the week on another VROD and this one looked soooo much better.

Here's the owner and her builder/husband. Rightfully very proud of her ride! The half wrap front fender is a nice touch as well. She allowed the 3 of us to sit on the bike and feel how light the front end was. When my buddy Ray was sitting on the bike, the owner said "this is such a great chick bike! We all shouted "nooooo!" This is the first bagger I could actually see myself owning. Now, if I can just find that spare $30K lying around.

Shot of the rear.

Another fender shot with the brake light active. Gave the owner a cvoharley card and told her to check out the site. Hope she does, I'm sure there are some build photos that would be cool to see.

Congratulations Jim! Looks awesome. Let's hear about some of your first ride impressions.

Ditto!

Ditto!First ride, I can see why he sold it, way too fast, like a rocket ship. 0 -70 in first gear at a snap of the throttle, rides, handles like a dream. Other than 4 or 5 small scratches the bike is as new. Also starter sometimes does not engage till you bump it while in gear so I assume I will be putting a starter in it soon.
By the way bought the bike from Brad Pitt's brother and have been told it was Brads when new.
Will update later.

That is one of the nicest bikes I have ever seen. We all have that special one of a kind personal bike that just does it for us. And man is that the one for me. Someone did an outstanding job putting the right parts on that bike. I would love to pursue that kind of build, my only question is how my BSR would feel about the ride. Anybody know where I an obtain that info.
Stunning build

I can tell you mine rides and handles great, my wife loves the ride. Mine has Legends air ride. Attached are photos

that's the same model as mine. I would like to see it in person. I wouldn't mind having something like that but my only hang up is that the V-rod is just so dang pretty as us that I wouldn't want anything permanent. I'd want it to be detachable so I could remove after long hauls. At one point after seeing a similar build at HD dealer in Daytona, I had considered having saddlebags made to match the paint but didnt have the resources. Those bags ate pretty much exactly what I had in mind. hmmmmm wonder if they could be built with quick release design.
Did you get builder's name?

:jack: V you don't need bags right now you need knees! ;D get we'll soon! :2vrolijk_21:

Shot of the rear.
overall, like the bike. but not so fond of the way the rear fender curves, then drops down sharply.
kinda reminds me of this:

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN BUY THE RG CONVERSION FOR THE VROD??? My wife has the same bike with a trike kit and if I could add this fairing it would be BADASS.
Please reply if you know where I can find this.
