Please vote - Chrome Radio/Gauge Trim Y or N?
« on: November 16, 2006, 10:58:07 PM »

Can't decide whether or not I like this piece. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]  Part of me says, "It's chrome, what's not to like?" [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]  The other part of me says, "That piece takes away from the bike's 'SEEG-ness,'" you know, that stripped-down look. 8-)  So, help me decide before I peel the tape off and am at the point of no return. I don't know Brian I sometimes think simplicity is better. [smiley=nixweiss.gif] Luckily when I did mines the piece you are showing wasn't an option so I didn't have to decide. I'm sure you've seen my option before, but to give side-by-side (above/below) look check this out...

Brian

That part of you that says,

""That piece takes away from the bike's 'SEEG-ness,'" you know, that stripped-down look"

Is right!

I'm of that opinion also. It just looks somewhat "gaudy" compared to all the other chrome trim pieces in there. [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

Never have liked that piece Brian. It looks like something that you would pick up at the local auto parts store and slap on you car.

I went with what Dood has. The bezel trim and the radio trim [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

I did the same thing. Placed it on the bike and something didn't look right to me.

Brian-

I'm with the others.  I too went with just the radio trim, indicator light trim, and speaker trim and it looks good on a dark inner fairing bike in stead of the one piece radio trim pictured.

I have to agree with the others also. To me it is unnecessary chrome that needs polishing and that takes time away from riding.
Ok azzholes and opinions..... everyone has one     just my 2 cents worth

No right or wrong answer, it is only an opinion.  I like all three pics shown.  With, Without and with the bezel trim.  Like Gary, it was not an option when I got the bezel trim so that is what is on mine.  I am not sure if Jamey has anything on his.  They both look great.  Bottom line, How do you feel about it?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I received the bezel trim as a Christmas present last year. I prefer it a little better. Ultimately your call.

Personally, I like the stock look the best, the bezel trim a close second, and don't like the big piece at all.
