Help! I was talking to my bro-in-law this weekend, and he tells me this story about how if you open the throttle at all before the rpm's come back down immediately after start-up, it does something in the ECM which causes you to run crappy at low RPM, until it is reset internally, (done by his dealership). He had the problem on his '01 SE and they went in to the ECM and did some sort of reset, and he now runs just fine at idle and low rpm.
I have wicked the throttle more than once immediatly upon startup, and my bike has always bad a real rough idle...(shakes the bike pretty good, but goes away right off the step)... AND, I have the worlds worst dealership, so I have nowhere to go for the truth....
Any words of wisdom from you guys?
I am runnning a stage one load, big sucker, true-duals with SEII slip-ons, and a PCIII with TwoLanes map. (vibrated big with the old map too...)
