Title: good friend gone
Post by: BAKRDS on August 31, 2008, 08:44:12 PM
My good friend & riding buddy Jim  Big Daddy Brasser was killed by a woman in a minivan this morning. He & his fiance were on their way to my house to go on a ride when she stopped at a stop sign then pulled in front of him.Told the cops she never saw him 'till he hit her passenger side door. Jim was cautious rider with 30 years on Harleys. How the hell can someone not see a road king with 3 headlights on ???His fiance was operated on to set a broken femur.Feel really bar for her.

That's really bad news. I'm really sorry and my heart goes out to you and all involved. We will say a prayer.

This is the part of motorcycling I hate, very emotional when losing a friend. Call me a crybaby, but I care and really feel your loss. Sorry for your pain, and wish we all could be there and help you through. Bad time for all of us for sure.  Dave

My sincere condolences to his fiance, family and you. Sometimes the only solace is knowing there is a different plan for those taken early that we are not privy to.

Ride Safe!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your friend and hope his wife recovers quickly from the physical injuries. Yet another senseless accident where the cager had their head up their dashboard.......motorcyclists always lose in these situations.

Or talking on a cell phone.

Jim, I just caught this thread.  What a horrible tragedy.  It's a risk we all take and one he was willing to die for.  May we all ride in honor of him.  I have three brothers who've gone down in 4 serious accidents in the last 20 years.  3 were unavoidable.  It's still worth it to me.  This isn't going to get Mrs. Backroads on the back of the SEEG anytime soon.  God bless the family and fiancee.

Jim I'm very sorry for your loss. Good riding partners are hard to come by and even harder to let go. Hope you don't mind if I add whats on my heart since I have experienced it as well. I pray that in this time of sadness God's spirit will comfort our hearts and have us to search our souls for our eternal destination.

God's Speed
