I didn't want to modify the bike, so I modified my boots by adding an additional 2" to the souls. It works great, and my legs get a good work out lugging the extra weight around. When I asked the guy to do it, he gave me a wry smile. I explained why I was doing it, and his response was "yeah, I've done this a few times before, but never for a man!" Dag...after seeing the pic of the heel rest, I may have to add it as I do tend to ride long trips. Thanks all!

I put on the heel rests not so much so I could reach easier, mostly because my legs used to get sore trying to keep them from blowing off the pegs after riding all day.  Now with the heel rests it is alot more comfortable riding.  It took a bit to get used to the shifter/brake being at a different angle though.  The heel rests do scrape when corning sometimes, but now I think the corner that I've sheared off is giving me more clearance and it doesn't happen as often ;D  I find the heel rests great for the long road trips!

It definitely seems like a worthwhile expense as I tend to ride at least 5-6 hours every weekend. Do the lines on the heel rests look good against the pedal lines?
