Speaker Grilles
« on: May 27, 2008, 11:41:46 AM »

I had Scooter do a couple of little things to the bike getting ready to go see Henry this weekend. I had a rattle in the dash, kinda sounded like I had blown one of the Hog Tune speakers, but a retainer on the back of the right speaker was loose. While he had it most of the way apart, I had him pull the speaker grilles, with 30,000 miles , they were starting to fade a little bit, espically the left side. He had some dye that is made for cloth speaker cover material. He sprayed and re-installed them and these things look brand new. I knew they were starting to fade but I didn't realize how bad they were till they looked new again. The pictures don't quite do them justice, but here they are anyway. Once again, THANKS SCOOTER! My motorcycle wouldn't be half the bike it is without his help. The labor charge wasn't too bad either, 12 pack of Samuel Adams Black Lager.   :2vrolijk_21:

Looks good, Hobo!  I had mine replaced when it was at the dealer for a some other stuff.  They were faded and sorta brown-looking.  It's the details that make a difference! :2vrolijk_21:

Hobo

Changed mine to the new ones.
Never realized how bad the old ones look till I swapped them out.
Your looking good!

Looks great when they are fresh and black...I swapped mine out with the J&M speakers.  They have their own speaker grills.  Although many folks like the Hawg-wired, and I know that they are a great speaker,  The J&M's were given to me an a gift, and I am really impressed.  And it has a hard grill integrated into the speaker.   Scot

Sam Adams Black Lager is the best.  But more of it, I am a stockholder.
