Chubby Bars and riser question.
« on: May 29, 2008, 06:08:51 PM »

I see on their web site that the WO 531 riser gives you 4" pull back over stock. They don't mention height,so assume there is none over stock???

Also, what is the difference over the stock bars with Chubby WO 510?

Thanks

Here's the visual difference from the stock handlebars to the WO531 Risers and WO510 Chubby Handlebars.
You'll need +2 inch clutch and brake lines if you decide to go this route.

the chubby bars have a little more rise and less reach than the stock bars.
I wish chubby made those risers to fit 1 1/4" bars, then I would just change the risers...... :2vrolijk_21:

I would consider getting a different seat - Corbin just came out with their Classic Solo for the 08' CVO Springers a few weeks ago. The Wild1 chubby bars have a 1" diameter where the riser mounts so the stock handlebars will not work with the WO531 risers. My dealership installes a +4 on the brake and throttle cables and I had them replaced with +2 cables that look a lot better. The pictures above show the +4 cables and I am waiting on my Corbin seat before I am ready to take some better pictures. The handlebar set-up that I have is very comfortable and I would highly recommend it, but it was kind of expensive to have it set up this way.

I talked to them today and John at Wild1 said I should just change the bars to the WO 510 and use my risers with their new adapters. He thought and so did I that I would be cramped with both the bars and risers,Plus I don't have to change the cables. I'm only 6' 2 but I have a freakish 6' 7 wingspan.I'm all upper body so the 510 bars with 2-3 inch height and pull back should be perfect. This will make up for my new seat that sets me up and back 2-3 inches.

HD Tallboy. It doesn't look as sleek, but it's comfortable, and will probably just be used for road trips.
